How to Care for Your Leather Jewelry

The leather earrings and studs are easy to care for. The earring pins and backs are made of 925 sterling silver, a precious metal. Over time, sterling silver will oxidize and develop a darker patina. This can easily be removed with a silver polishing cloth.

Cleaning Your Leather Jewelry

  • If dirty, the leather parts can be wiped clean with a soft cloth.
  • To remove particles or dust, you can use a slightly damp cloth. Avoid soaking the leather as excessive moisture can damage it.
  • The natural leather can be treated with a leather conditioner. We use Gold Quality Leather Conditioner, which contains vaseline, marrow oil, genuine Danish beeswax, and waterproofing plant extracts, making it perfect for caring for leather products.
  • Take a very small amount on a soft cloth, rub it in, and let it set for a couple of hours. Then, wipe off any excess.

Does Perfume Affect Jewelry?
Important note – Perfume and body creams are not your jewelry’s best friend! Perfume, as well as body lotions and hair spray, can contain alcohols, oils, and chemicals that can tarnish, discolor, and otherwise affect your jewelry. Always apply your perfume, hairspray, and lotion first and let it set. Then you are ready to top it all off with your favorite pieces of jewelry!
